Belgium supports Antwerp verdict towards the Iranian diplomat terrorist


Antwerp trail convicted Iranian diplomat terrorist, Asadullah Asadi, for attempted terrorist murder and participation in a terrorist organization with maximal punishment for 20 years in prison. His cooperatives were sentenced from 15 to 18 years of imprisonment.

This verdict received an international attention as it was the first time that a serving diplomat was convicted for conducting terrorist activities. Belgium showed a lot of courage for bringing up the justice and protect the justice not only in Beelgium but also in Europe.

The Minister of Justice, Mr. Vincent Van Quikenborne just after the announcement of the verdict called it a prove of the independent judicial system in Belgium. “Today 4 people were convicted to heavy prison sentences for terrorism. Grateful for the work of our security and intelligence services. The court acted independently in reaching its verdict. Belgium is performing well in the fight against terrorism. #teamjustice” he tweeted.
